Latest project: sonder
”the realization that each passerby has a life as vivid and complex as your own”
I produced this image as my final piece at college, where I studied photography. My project title was called sonder as it has such a deep meaning, even though it is the most simplest thing.
Everyone is always stuck in their own world worrying about themselves, therefore, I decided to step back and create a project to analyse what was around me.
For my final piece which is the image to the left, I decided to capture my own visual representation of sonder by having my model stand still while capturing a long exposure of the cars (the world) aound her flashing by, which thereby representing the “passerbys”.

Hi! I’m Litsa Karayan a photographer based in London. I picked up photography at the young age of 10, and what started as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion. I have recently completed a two year course in – ual level 3 applied general diploma in art and design. for my second year I was able to specialise in photography which was the best part for me as it allowed me to advance my skills. on this site you can see the shots i am most proud of… but there will always be more. I enjoy shooting a range of things whether its portraits, creative work, street, fashion, I can do it.
